What will Coaching DO in your Life?

When we get awareness we take different action and we make different decisions.

What is your programming? 

Do you believe that you are not enough?

Do you believe you aren’t worthy enough?

Do you believe you are not qualified enough to do what you really want to do?

Do you believe you are not good enough, so people will not want to look at/use/buy your service?

How is this affecting how you show up in the action you need to take to realise your goals?

I realised recently that my 9 years of Muay Thai fighting were me fighting against everything I believed to be true about me and about my world.   I write a lot about this in my book, Life Through a Lens.

This year I made the decision to start fighting FOR.  I set the vision of what I truly want and what I believe is possible, away from all the false beliefs I had about myself coming back from the Play To Win Reality Show.  Suddenly fighting no longer seemed an appropriate way to be spending all my time.  I’d been hiding in the gym for fight camp after fight camp because of all the fears I had about doing what I really wanted to do.  My belief about myself had been that I’m fundamentally flawed and so my behaviour, or my habit was to hide, to doubt and to self-sabotage.  I’d make excuses for these behaviours, but in reality we can either have excuses or we can have results.  Our excuses come when we are working to prove the beliefs we have about ourselves.  Here’s an example.  Has anyone ever approached you to buy a product or start an opportunity online?  Did you feel sceptical that it was legitimate?  What did you do?  Did you go search on google?  When you were there, did you read the good reviews or keep scrolling until you found the bad ones?  If you believe something to be true you are going to keep searching until you find the answer that backs up your belief.  Your mind does exactly the same thing when it comes to taking action.  Based on your experiences and what they led you to believe about yourself and about your world, your brain finds the justification and excuses it needs to stop you being vulnerable or unsafe.  Your brain will go back into its ‘super computer’ of experiences and find the reasons for you not to show up and that is when all those thought processes start; when your monkey mind tells you that you shouldn’t do it, you’ll fail if you try, or it’s not worth your time or you can’t afford it.  You don’t show up in that action and because you don’t show up in that action you don’t get the results.

To find true freedom and flexibility to pursue your soul goal you have to change that programming and change those beliefs because when you have them and listen to them you are fighting against everything that has happened in your life, everything that has harmed you, everybody that has let you down, everything that has failed you, everything that has hurt you instead of fighting for the life and impact you truly want.

How to Live Out Your Soul Goal

When something happens in our lives, whether it be in our childhoods or as adults, and whether it be one thing or a number of things, we can become “stuck”.

You might recognise this description. You might have felt the symptoms of your own lack of alignment with who you truly are and maybe you have questioned how you get the person you truly are back.  Perhaps you are feeling the heartbreak of losing her right now as you read this.

Perhaps you have become busy in life to avoid everything you feel in your heart.  I know personally that there is tremendous fear in feeling a difficult feeling. So, we do avoid it. For many people staying busy is how they’ve coped for years and I see them, in survival mode.  I want to tell them, tell you, that becoming a #RecoveredSurvivor, like me is possible.  That is why I began the #HummingbirdMovement.

In my own state of “survival”, my thoughts cleverly prevented me becoming vulnerable again (I was a victim of rape in 2004), but they also stopped me showing up purposefully, powerfully and authentically in my life to make the difference that lights a fire in my soul.

We are a product of our past and our story because of how our brains go collecting up every experience we have had and filing it away like some big old supercomputer.  Our brain will always call on these experiences when it comes to making decisions and taking action, so how do we let the voice of our Soul come through?  Where do we find the strength and courage to take the action that answers the call of our Soul Goal in the face of the fear when our brain is wired for our safety, security, and self-preservation, and so it will always direct us away from pain?

The anticipation of pain is the definition of fear.

When we listen to the voice that tells us that “we can’t, we shouldn’t, we aren’t good enough”, we are safe from the pain of our past, but we are not living in our present and we are not creating our future.  If your greatness is in your heart, how are your thoughts created by your fear keeping it locked from you?

In my book, Life Through a Lens, I teach you how to become stronger than the fear that is holding you back.  This begins with your focus.  The goal is to become focused only on the joy of life and positivity and focus away from the fear that is holding you back.

“See the threat or see the opportunity”, as the saying goes.

5. Give up HUSTLING!

Believe me, you think that by working every hour you are going to get more financial freedom, but it’s likely not true.  A really powerful exercise is to write a list of everything you are working hard for, which you feel you aren’t getting/don’t have already and then next to that list ask yourself honestly what you are not giving.  It’s likely that most of the work that you are working hard on isn’t the world-class work that will make the shifts you seek.  However, the world-class work challenges you, creates fear or puts you outside of your comfort zone.

Decide if you want the balance in your life that will bring you more happiness, which in turn will bring you more abundance and then commit to making some changes.

6.  Give up BLAMING!

Take this phrase, tattoo it to your brain and say every time you find yourself looking for someone to blame about what’s going wrong in your life…

Everything is happening around me, not to me, I can control how I respond!

Then look at what you can GIVE to improve your situation.

7.  Give up trying to PLEASE OTHERS

When you can trust that all your innate power is within you and be true to a life that fits you, you won’t need the approval of others.  It won’t matter anymore.  Not in a selfish way, but in a fulfilled way.  Your happiness shouldn’t be hinged on the love, appreciation or approval of others.

8.  Give up the SHOES THAT DON’T FIT

This is the first step to finding fulfilment and happiness from within you… Find out who you are in all your unique beauty.

9.  Give up the need to be RIGHT

Defending a point of view is exhausting and lowers our vibe.  Give up the need to be right to defend your peace of mind.

10. Give up CONTROL

There is little we can actually control in life, as I adhered to above, life is always happening around us.  Feeling like we have little control over our life makes us feel really unhappy.  This is just one area of a comprehensive scorecard I have to help you see what is making you feel unhappy in your life.

By rediscovering “me”, rising my vibration and redefining my beliefs, everything in my life transformed.

We all hold onto everything that has gone before without consciously knowing it, which creates silent counter intentions to what we say we want.  And so we fail to manifest it.  Our counter intentions are rooted in fear, doubt, even fear of the fear and limiting beliefs.

‘Flow’ is the opposite of this state.

‘Flow’ is where we have inner harmony with whatever we are doing, even if we are not doing/achieving/experiencing everything that we want to be.

_ + _ + _ = SUCCESS!

I wanted to zone straight in on the ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM.

Everybody wants it, it looks like some people get it easy, but generally success is not a clear formula. But there is a formula, and I am going to share it with you in this blog.

Who am I to talk about success?

Valid question and I hope you’ll stick around by following my blog to learn about why I feel so qualified in this subject!

 

Here are the 3 key pieces in my formula for success:

1. Having a written goal

We naturally manifest more of what we focus on. When you spend time identifying what your success looks like, so you can describe your goal with clarity, everything else will follow smoothly.  Without a goal, you will remain stuck

2. Taking Consistent Action

I’m sorry to say it, but having a clear goal without taking action is not going to make your success happen.  I guess it sounds obvious when I say it like that, but I have learned not to be surprised when I see someone who has set a goal, felt chuffed and then sat back waiting for it to happen (whilst wondering why it hasn’t.)  You have to work backwards from your goal to understand the actions you need to take and when you need to take them, so you have a plan.  You also need to think hard about the things that might get in your way of plan and make another plan for what you’ll do in the case that these things happen (it’s so much harder to think clearly in the moment of challenge and this can lead to inaction.)  Finally you always need to know in the back of your mind WHY you are working towards your goal.  Write that down too, so that on those days when action seems impossible, you can remember why you are doing this and get back in the game.

3. Tasting LACK of not having had the success you crave

And when I say taste, I actually mean have had eaten that meal whole, so that it sits in your throat and gives you acid reflux for an entire day.  You have got to really understand what it feels like not to have had success.  Did you ever give up chocolate for lent?  How good does that chocolate taste when you have finally gotten to eat it?  Would it have tasted that good if you had just eaten it yesterday?

Hell no!

If you are not experiencing the success you want to right now, I want you to look at where you are and what you are experiencing.  It might give you some clues as to why you aren’t working as hard as you could be to be where you want to be.  And of course look at the 3 piece formula and ask yourself, “what am I missing?”

GOAL + ACTION + A REAL, DEEP EXPERIENCE OF NOT HAVING SUCCESS

= THE ULTIMATE FORMULA FOR YOUR SUCCESS!!!!

But wait a minute, there is something else…  The formula only works if you have time carved out in your plan of action to work on you and your personal development, and you have someone or something to keep you accountable to your plan of action!

I know, I didn’t mention this above, and it’s massive, and it’s for that reason most people don’t want to hear it.  However, if I’ve learned one thing from my personal experience it’s that not working on one’s own personal growth is the ultimate formula not to succeed, or at the very least put a roof over what you are actually capable of, which may be way outside of what you see as your imminent success!
